What Would You Do?
What would you do if someone just reached out a hand to you?
I see you. The one that is struggling. The one that is trying to hold it all together. The one that is trying to convince yourself that you are happy. Trying to convince yourself that you are content. I see you. You are they one that puts everyone else's needs ahead of your own. You are the giver. The doer. You are the one that keeps saying, "I will start on Monday." The one that can do it all (because you can.. I don't doubt that.) You are the one that is tired of secretly feeling sad, alone, depressed.
I. See. You.
And I want you to see THIS as my hand reaching out to you. I am here to help you up. I am here to dust you off. I am here to offer you a way to have it all.
You can be happy. You can be active. You can be healthy. You can ask for help.
Did you read that? You can ASK FOR HELP. It is ok. It is NOT a sign of weakness or make you less of a person. How do I know this? Because I was that person. I did ALL of those things.
I struggled with my health and fitness, my weight, my everything. I tried hard to hold it all together. I told myself day in and day out that I was happy and content with my overall appearance. I ALWAYS did for everyone else before I did for myself, I gave and gave and I always said that I was going to start on Monday. For YEARS. But I was the tired, sad, depressed woman.
I'm not saying that nothing in my life brought me happiness, because my little family unit did, does. I just figured that if I was making my family happy, and that they were making me happy that I could push my feelings over my weight issues aside. I could stop staring at myself in the mirror with disgust and shame.
Now, before everyone gets up in arms saying that we should just love our bodies for what they are, for what they have been through (2 babies!) and that we should never compare ourselves to the skinny models, to the fitness gurus, to our friends, our neighbors... let's get real. I do it. You do it. A lot of women do it. I'm not saying it is right or wrong... I'm just saying we do it.
Yes, my amazing body that God designed carried two perfect, healthy boys. I have stretch marks to prove it. But, this body is also mine. Mine to look at every day, to squeeze into jeans every day. My arms that flapped when I waved, a chin that doubled when I smiled really big. My spare tire. My misery.
So when someone reached out their hand to help me... after all of the years of "I will start on Monday" had passed, when someone said... "come with me, let's do this together" I took that hand.
Would you?
This is me, reaching out my hand to you. Are you going to take it?
I host PRIVATE online accountability groups every single month that produce results. I can give you that motivation you need to stay on track. The accountability comes in with your participation in the group. Why not try something you have never tried before. How many times have you said "I will start on Monday"?? How is that method working out for you?? Try a Beachbody program, clean eating, a group to lean on, a safe place to come and voice your concerns about getting healthy and fit. Try Shakeology. It honestly has changed my life.
You don't have to wait until Monday. You don't have to wait to make a new resolution for 2016. You can start TODAY. You can start RIGHT now. I am here, with my hand, open... waiting for you to grab it. Let me dust you off and get you started with something different, something exciting. Something that will work. I know you are ready, and I am ready to be your coach. Email me, right now to get started fitmomjoslin@gmail.com
What are you going to do?
